Optical and A.C. Electrical Properties for Polypyrrole and Polypyrrole/Graphene (ppy/gn) Nanocomposites

In this work, chemical oxidation was used to polymerize conjugated polymer "Polypyrrole" at room temperature Graphene nanoparticles were added by in situ-polymerization get (PPY-GN) nano. Optical and Electrical properties studied for the nanocomposites. optical of nanocomposites UV-Vis spectroscopy wavelength range (200 -800 nm). The result showed absorption spectra normally determined that maximum absorbance wave length 280nm 590nm. energy gap has been evaluated direct transition value decreased from (2.1 eV pure PPy) (1.3 5 %wt. GN). constants such as band tail width ΔE evaluated, PPy (0.0949eV) while wt. % GN it (0.5156 eV), It observed Urbach smaller than PPy/GN increase concentration increases. A.C electrical conductivity frequency (103Hz-106Hz) increased increasing about four order magnitude. s (0.653-0.962) which means mechanism is correlated hopping (C. H. P.). dielectric constant lose found decrease with frequency.
